The popularity of electric scooters has been growing rapidly in the UK, with people choosing them as a convenient, cheap and environmentally-friendly way to travel around town.

And now it seems that a change in the legislation concerning electric scooters could be on the cards.
According to The Guardian, Grant Shapps stated “This review will ensure we understand the potential impacts of a wide range of new transport types such as e-scooters, helping to properly inform any decisions on legalisation.”
A trial will assess what new restrictions should be put into place, such as a minimum age for riders, speed limits, licensing, insurance and helmets.
